Well it’s Tuesday morning and what do you know I am back on time with the weekly update. We have a full mini schedule on tap for this week. The 9th Annual Wes t Texas Doubles is coming…and so is the deadline to sign up for a T-shirt(Sunday). Jeanne will be at the mini Wednesday night handing out entry forms, so if anyone wants to sign up in person be prepared. There will probably be some more work done on the courses to be used for the doubles this weekend so stay tuned to either emails or the CVDGA DISCussion board for info on how you can help. Big Spring ’s One-Day Fun-Day is a little under 3 weeks away. Brownfield’s C-Tier tourney is the next up on the schedule after that in late October. Also Ace Race registration has opened and will end on October 12th. Remember this is a pre-registration only event as we must order the player packs 2 weeks in advance of the tourney. The Ace Race will be held the first Saturday in November.
Before we get into the specifics of this week’s update we all owe a HUGE THANK YOU to the guys and gals that came out to help with the rubber pad replacements at Brentwood this weekend. These guys spent there whole weekend out at the course doing some hard labor so we could enjoy some new teepads to throw from. So be sure to thank them in person or however you can because the pads look awesome and I’m sure are awesome to tee off from….as we’ll find out Wednesday! So thank you Cookie, Coby, Patty, Gary , Jack, Sara, Sean and Pete. You all should be proud of the work you have done for local disc golf!
MINIS
Wednesday is set for some doubles on the new rubber at Brentwood . Teetime is 6pm. We’ll try to keep the cards somewhat small in size(hopefully no more than 3 teams), but with it getting dark at about 8:15ish there is a good chance you are going to need some lights to finish the round.
Saturday’s mini will be at doubles at North Concho at 10am. There will possibly be some work going on there that morning so be aware and be courteous to those working and don’t throw disc at them.
Sunday is skins at the lake at 2pm. 25 cents for most holes, the exceptions are 9 and 18 which are .50 cents. There is also a $2 Ace Pot that is thrown off after the round if no aces are hit.
9th Annual West Texas Doubles

Sunday we will head back into town to wrap it up with 28 holes playing Brentwood, Picnic Ben d, and North Concho . For those signing up for the doubles.....REMBMER this sunday will be the last day you can pre-register to get a T-shirt, no ifs, ands, or buts about it. All I can say is when I sent the artwork in for the trophies I got a response back of NICE, so I think the logo is pretty cool so you might just want to be sure you get a shirt.
Thanks
Jeanne
