Hello there on this weekly update morning. This week in disc golf we have a full mini schedule for the CVDGA. Though there is also a work day scheduled for this Saturday so that mini may be a little light on turnout unless we get done really fast. Muleshoe now has a disc golf course and is having a tourney this weekend. Big Spring is only 1 week away, save the TD some work the morning of and get signed up early! Plus it will guarantee you a player pack! The hEArDimORe date has been set for May 19th.

MINIS

The ladies mini will be at Brentwood Park, 6pm teetime.

From what I hear there is the same 3 ladies showing up to these every week…and I know there is more women disc golfers in San Angelo. So if you know one encourage them to go out and join the fun…or you are one, get out and support these minis. These ladies are doing their best to grow the sport for the women’s side of the sport. All women’s minis are free to play. If competition is what you are looking for join the CVDGA and get you a women’s only bag tag and get in on the fun that is bag tag challenges.

Wednesday’s mini will be random doubles at Picnic Bend with a 6pm teetime.

Saturday’s mini will also be random doubles, but at South Concho. Teetime is 10am.

Sunday’s Lake mini will be handicapped singles at the lake. 2pm teetime.

WORK DAY THIS SATURDAY

I know it seems like there is a work day once a month these days….well welcome to life in a 6 disc golf course town. Would you rather go back to 1 or 2 courses?? I know I wouldn’t!!! But the flip side of that is having to keep up with more stuff.

This weekend’s work day will be to weed-eat and clean up across the river at Picnic Bend around holes 1 and 2, and the trail leading down from 3. We will as do some work at South Concho like moving teeboxes that got messed up at the Crush. There could also be some clean up on holes 4 and 14 if it’s needed.

Tools needed at Picnic Bend: Weed-eaters, loppers, and probably some trash bags.

Tools needed at South Concho: Wide ended pick axe, chain and a rock bar to pull rebar, possibly weed-eaters.

(I have not been over there in a few weeks so I’m not sure what the grass looks like around 4? Could need a mower if it’s very tall.)

We are meeting at Picnic Bend at 9am. Depending on how many show, we’ll divide up and hopefully knock this stuff out in a couple of hours.
