The Burn Ban is also posted on the message board on the loop by the mall, it says click it or ticket and then burn ban in effect.
I know in the past Sarah, yes the cops have come around and checked fires when burn bans are in affect. I would say if you want the cops to come to your campsite depends on what you do.
Campfire Regulations/Burn Bans Fires may be built only in campsite grills, fire rings, or fireplaces. Some sites allow only containerized fuel fires. When warranted, burn bans are implemented by county judges and/or county commissioners courts. Inquire when making reservations or call the park for specific campfire information. Waist-high grills/ground fire rings are standard at most developed sites, as are tables and lantern posts. Some primitive sites have fire rings; some beach sites allow ground fires on sandy areas, if approved by the park manager. Firewood may not be gathered unless authorized by the park manager. Fireworks and explosives are not permitted.
Is that because tents can catch on fire if a firecracker is lit next to someone's head? And if said person's tent has been tie wrapped shut they could die?
I'm working with the PDGA to get round ratings for Pool C. We didn't have enough propagators to give unofficial round ratings, but they told me they could get official ones by knowing the distances of the courses.
What a weekend. WAY TO GO CVDGA, we pulled off another great Crush weekend! Big thanks to Mikey and his girlfriend for heading up HQ and running the thing once again, Big thanks to Coby, Dave, and Kirk for setting up the lights for the night glow round....it was AWSOME! Micah was invaluable this weekend with all the things he did to help! HUGE THANKS to all who traveled from out of town to come support the party that is the Crush!
And of course Big THANKS to all the 2011 CVDGA sponsors! (please support those that support local disc golf)
KUDOS to Mike Keane! For getting all scores and paperwork into PDGA in a timely manner. It's not often a golfer can gets tournament stats included for a rating update just two weeks later. Great job Mikey!
