So I just got off the phone with Mark out at Bright Brewing, he has once again agreed to sponsor the event and for us to converge on his place at the end of the month. So we are set on the location once again.
It will again be a 2 disc challenge. That means NO CHANGING DISC after the round has started. The 2 discs you start with is the 2 discs you must finish with.
Hole to be played will probably be 36 holes, but I'll sure that up as we get closer.
Date for the event is January 29th (the weekend between the NFL playoffs and the Superbowl so no football is missed!)
Entry: $15 plus 3 cans of food. If you do not show up with food, it will be $35 to play...so bring some food!
Once again we will do player packs to the first 50 signed up, and signups are day of only. I also want to point out, just because you are the first person to the brewery...that does not ensure you a player pack. There will be a line inside the brewery, that will start when I get finished with setup and go in to start the registration process. I have heard of people getting there 2hrs early only to not get a player pack because they did not get in line. So be sure to watch me, and when you see me go in.....GO IN! Or stand next to the sing up desk and wait till I start.
Other details will be posted as they get lined up. So for now start spreading the word of just how much fun this Ice Bowl is and let's make it the biggest yet!!!
So now I need to know who all has baskets they are willing to bring out! I've got 3, so I need at least 5 more. I am going to go look to see if we can add a few more holes, so we may need more.
Nope that makes 7 plus the one that is out there already is 8. Only need 1 more!(Which I know Brandn has one). I am going to look at adding a few holes...so I may need a couple more after I get out there to look at it. We'll see..........
Welcome to the board RJ! Trust me....if you can find Eola....you can find the brewery! I think we at least quadruple the population of Eola on Ice Bowl day!!!
Got the courses designed and flagged/painted off Saturday.
Both directions are now 10 hole courses.
The original is still the same, with 1 added hole. The backwards design has some differences from last year, and some that are the same. Should be fun....
Basket bringers so far: Danny, Gary, Patty, Mikey, and Brandn. Plus my 4. So I think we are good there as long as no one forgets theirs!
Got word today that some of team THC(chuck and a buddy) is coming up for the Ice Bowl! This is the same guy that is TDing the Junction Ice Bowl, they are supporting us, so if anyone can make theirs on Feb. 19th please try and do so. The Junction course is a really fun course to play and worth the drive down to do so.
Will you guys also have memberships/ tags this yr there as well???
We will be having membership signups, our new tags will be for sale and for the first time we have 10 tags just for the ladies! So be sure you have plenty of money to get it all taken care of.
Score cards would be AWSOME JC. I was going to call you today about that. 2 rounds, 20 hole rounds, we had around 70 players last year.
Not sure about the maps...do you think they are nessasary? The one course is the same, the other is different in ways, but still goes around the building for the most part.
