Monkey ball sports has a disc golf mini game in it. It's a hard ass nine hole. Also, on the wii. You got to love it when Japan starts getting into dg, it becomes part of every gaming system.

I have heard that there was a mini game on another game....but was always told it wasn't worth playing. If you are saying it was hard then it must be worth trying?
Man I think it would be great if disc golf ever became as big as soccer...if we were able to watch the NTs on espn or whatever.
I wonder if the DG game will only have 150 class disc. From what I hear that is all that is legal to throw over there. Can't wait till this comes out, then it will for sure be time to get a Wii. I got a Wii for my birthday and purchased Big Beach Sports. Just for the Disc Golf game. It has an 18 hole course and a only a choice of 3 discs ( Driver, Mid Range and putter). You have a choice of 3 throwing style Backhand, Forehand and Tomahawk. The control is pretty good as far as the angle you hold the remote and the snap at the end of your throw. I have seen on other boards that you can't miss when putting. Thats not true you can miss. If you don't snap at the end of you throw the disc just wobbles. As for a DG game I would say that it pretty good.
A company called Autonomous Production is working on a DG game for the Wii. They say that it will be released at the end of the summer. It will be a game you can download directly to your Wii with real courses and intuitive and realistic throwing mechanics. They are working closely with PDGA to make sure it's authentic and fun for veteran PDGA members and new players alike. I got this info from http://groups.google.com/group/svdgc/browse_thread/thread/7cafadeeca02e9b7
It's an old message from this company back in January 2008. So hopefully it will be out soon.I can't wait to see how good this game is. Hoping that it is better than the one in Big Beach Sports though the one on there is pretty good.
Good to know Gary...I'm going to have to have to go rent it and go play it at my Mom's house. Don't have a Wii myself yet.
Hope the other one's as good as they are making it sound. Never wanted your approval Never wanted your acceptance Never wanted to be anything but me Never wanted to be anywhere but here.
Update for WII Disc Golf. I found an article at 1000 rated Disc Golf http://www.1000rated.com/?p=53 Sounds like it will be sometime next year before the game come out.
Thought you Wii owners might be interested in this one....looks pretty cool! Hope someone invites me over to give it a try when they get it..hint..hint...

Found out that the Tiger Woods game will be out tomorrow. I think that I will be the first line to get it. I hope to find it in town if not I will just have to order it.
WEll tiger woods for the wii is great and the disc golf game does a much better job than big beach sports ever possibly thought about doing...JC u were right def no sore arm and whats better is no bein in the 100 degree weather
i think the biggest down side is how responsive the sensor is....its hard to control the power and hell have off my throws are anny's not purpose...if anyone is wantin to see what its like just call me
Well I went out and got myself a Wii for this game. Mainly for the disc golf game in it, but after playing some Tiger(I haven't ever played it before)...I am hooked!
The disc golf is fun, but like Tammy posted it is kind of hard to not release anny(Patty you are going to really have trouble ). But it is still fun to play, and man am I a good putter on this game!!!
As for the ball golf side of it. What level are you guys playing on? "all play" ,"standard", or "advanced"
I started out on all play since I have never played it, but I am smoking the competition after 5 tourneys(on the season deal)...getting birds on almost everything, if not eagles! Nailing the pole all the time from 100 yards + out. Didn't know if things would get harder, or if I needed to up the skill level before I got to use to playing this way. I'll probably bump it up tonight and give it a try on standard.
We need to get an Tiger Woods DG tourney going one of these off weekends. Never wanted your approval Never wanted your acceptance Never wanted to be anything but me Never wanted to be anywhere but here.
Hell ya.....thats what Im talking about! Got this game a few weeks ago and like you, Im hooked on the golf side of it!! Disc Golf side is fun, but it is harder to throw less power...hell, I "putt" with the mide range and it still goes 75 yrds. But, it is a GREAT first step to an all disc golf game for the future. Plus its marketing GENIUS...milliions of people will be introduced to the sport because of this game.
We really do need to check out the online section to see if we can set up a group with our area disc golfers...jump on-line and have some friendly (with appropriate trash talking of course ) matches. That would be awesome!
I started on standard because I have played golf games before, and unless your some golf vidoe game prodigy..i think you will find it harder than all play. I still havent figured out how to consitantly make each club hit at certain power levels, but I'm working on it. Do you by chance have the motion + attachment? I dont , but was wondering if that would help swings be more accurate?

I'll switch it up to standard tonight. Don't want to get use to the other then switch it once I have made the pga tour.
I wasn't sure if you could play DG online or if it was just ball golf. I don't have mine hooked up to the internet yet.
I do have the motion deal....bought it with the game. It was only $10 more to buy it that way...so I figure why not. I know JC has tried it both with and without. I've only done it with, so I can't tell you if it makes that much of a difference.

its much better with i tried it at first and it is different
WOW Tammy, this is what college teaches you?
Anyway, I switched it to standard last night and went to play the sawgrass open.....I quickly realized I didn't switch it at the right place as I started out with 6 birds in a row, followed by an eagle. Then on hole 11, I hit my first ace!!!! Couple of holes later on hole 16 I hit my second ace!!!!! Won $20,000+ for hitting that second one....So once I won the tourney at 21 under(only shot 2 pars, no bogies, the rest were birds, eagles, or aces) or something, I really switched it on "my player swing", I had changed it on the home page of the game, but not in my season...didn't know I'd have to change both. So after I changed it I went to "tuning my clubs". The swing is harder to keep straight that's for sure, especially with drivers. I was pretty good with woods, and irons though. Of course this is just hitting 100%. So next time I get on the game I'll play with the actual standard and see how that goes.
