Well I hope everyone enjoyed the backwards course last night. I thought it was a nice change up for the Brentwood Doubles mini. Good time out last night, other than finishing a little late that is.....
21 of us out last night...and after last week it seemed like people were sure gunning for that Ace Pot that has been going for around 2 years! I know I had a great time on the card last night...good playing with you Christian! Also was cool watching Coby hit all those long putts, just to bad he couldn't hit the short ones!!
16 player out last night. An even number on doubles night is always a good thing. Had a pretty good time considering the circumstances, but it was fun to partner up with Nick once again. Ended up being a pretty tight races in the end.
19 players out last night to try and claim the Ace Pot...hearing a lot of "we're splitting the pot right" these days at Brentwood before tee-off! Good to hear! Had a good time out last night, first time partnering up with Bobby and first time to play with Edward, or did we decide it was E? hehe.........Some light out shooting by some last night, especially the super team!!
WOW....what a night last night. Very large turnout at 27 players. Not sure if it's the large ace pot, the cool weather, or people wanting to get some practice in before the doubles. Whatever it was, it was pretty cool to see! The thing that wasn't so cool to see what that it was 9:40 before we got done...CRAZY! Also heard they only paid out 2 places, which also shouldn't of happened with 14 teams. Basic rule of thumb for tourneys is you pay half the field which is a little to deep for a mini...but you should always pay 1/3 of the field at a mini!!! Doubles is a little different sometimes, but it sure shouldn't of been 1st and 2nd only.
Also last night was the first time I had played on a card and/or partnered with Natosha. Had a great time last night, hope you did as well!
Anyway, somehow I was only given 3 of the 4 cards last night...so if someone has "the big card" maybe they can post those scores.
Well...well...first off we have to congratulate Carlos for hitting the BIG ACE POT last night. He hit hole #4(around the tennis court) on our first time through the course last night. The shot looked like it had a chance from about the half way point of it's flight, did a little skip like it was using the grass as banking for the turn and CHING BITCHES it was in the basket. This ace pot had been going since 7/21/10...so over 2 years, and he is taking home $664.00!!!!! Way to go Carlos!
As for the regular mini news, we had 17 players out last night: now it will be interesting to see how many show up to the next nightglow round at Brentwood with not large ace pot? Anyway I know at least we had a good time on the card last night, hopefully the other card did the same. Looks like there was some awsome shooting on it if nothing else.
Well either people are coming out of hibernation for some spring disc golf...or people just love to play Brentwood Park. We had 24 players out last night...which is awesome to see! I can't remember if I picked up the cards or not last night, I'll look in my bag when I go home for lunch...but for now this is what I do know.
Micah and his partner, Rudy and his partner, and Cookie and Estaban took home the money.
Sorry I feel apart Kenny, we had a great start, but those last 3 or so holes really took us out of it!
14 out last night to play the Putters and Mids only challenge. Which I thought went pretty well and was a fun change up. Plus I got a new unthrown 1st Run Surge last night...WHOHOOO!!!
No idea on scores as I left as soon as our card got done...sorry!
