Just bumping this thread up so those that don't read the weekly update or ready the home page news will know what's happening this week with this mini.
We are going to change things up a little and play the backwards course design this Wednesday at Brentwood.
Don't have the scores in front of me right now but Carl and Eric won in a throow-off over Nick and Jeremy (both at -6). I think it was Matt and JC who took seconnd with a +2.
Yeah I hated missing it too. Doctor says I need to hold off for 3 weeks and let my back heal. I haven't had the chance to play any of the courses backwards.
The backwards course was fun. I think maybe a couple of the boxes were different than the last time I played it, and a couple of trees were gone that use to be there, but the course was awesome. I felt sorry for Tanner and Ryan who were out playing the regular course ...lots of disc dodging.
We had a blast on our card. Matt and Ben took third with a +2, and Gary and I were right behind them with a +3. John and Robert were having a pretty rough round. Great putting last night Gary, looks like you have been practicing.
FINALLY!!! Finally I am going to get to play in a mini tonight, seems like it's been a month since I've been able to make one. Although I'd trade playing tonight for the Pens to be back in the playoffs....since that's not going to happen, Brentwood here I come!!!
Oh man it sure was good to get back to playing the minis last night! Had a new guy out that just moved here from New Mexico...good to meet you Ernie, hope to see you back out when you can play a full 18.

Nice night at the course yesterday, had a good time on the card as well! Had a shoot-out going on with the other 2 teams...was fun to watch the punches go back and forth. Good shooting from both Blais/Kirk and Sean/Mikey, also must have been some pretty good shooting on the other card and a decent battle going with Scott/Clammy and Jeff playing cali.
BIG turnout last night...24 players! Good times once again last night, of course it's always good to be on the course. Good playing with Kirk, and nice to see Patty at a Wednesday mini!(4 of us on this card went to Levelland, and I can promise you we were all wondering where last night's game was this past weekend!) I threw several full power righty drives last night, with some being pretty decent. The best one for sure being clearing the tennis court on my first attempt in right at a year!!!(Sean wasn't to happy when I called to tell him, since he says he's never cleared it :P )

It's not Parker I am concerned with...its his parents. Don't think I could go down there and chill, drink some beers(lots of beers), and take care of my son. I cannot ask Tosh to do this all on her own either. So, we will skip this year...1st time in a long time...and will pick back up next year. So, quit your baby bashing and go and have a blast! P.S. Hey, some people are pretty thin skinned when it comes to kids(I'm one of them). Just had to make myself perfectly clear so nothing could be mis-read. still think you ALL should go...ALL the other Warock Parents have...it's a tradition! We've all had 1 camping trip we've had to take it a little easy on, it isn't that difficult. Plus with Sean and his fam, and Coby and his fam(and I wish JC and his).....this year is going to be EPIC(yeah I said it...EPIC!!) **==

Well 18 players last night were rewarded with some really nice weather! Almost gave you the sense that Whiskey Wednesday is almost here!
What a show our card was given last night with Eric lighting it up...did Johnny even throw a disc? ;) They weren't the only ones tearing up Brentwood last night. You know the shooting is good when 8 down only gets you into a throw off for 2nd place...and 5 down gets you 4th!
Good times last night. Got to hit a couple of putts and watch the Thomas and Rod show. Rudy was driving and I was putting some, it just wasn't enough. There were a few circle threes that were awesome. It was fun to get out and throw.
17 players out last night, not sure what the scores were, but had a good time on the card last night....always fun partnering up with Blais! Our card had a pretty heated battle going throughout, but I think the other card had the winner! Heard Johnny Deleon shot -11 cali to win it...nice shooting!
Think Patty/Gary won our card with Sean/Mikey 2nd, and Blais/Jason 3rd. We were all around -4 or so down I think?
Had 10 players out last night and it ended up being a nice night on the course after all...and that's not the Pyrat Rum talking! Seems like the extreme wind we all thought we'd be battling stopped just as we got started. Guess we should have gone for 18 holes!
