Frankly, it embarassed me to go up to you guys and talk because of how much time was spent pumping this event up only to have some of the most basic things forgetten, not done, brushed aside, etc. I know, I know....its not my fault (or Misti's)

Don't feel that way Jerry. I know I personally didn't and don't blame you for the way things went. That all falls on Matt and the Amarillo disc golf club. I had a feeling things were not going smooth when I got a call from Carl 2 weeks ago telling me that Matt was having an issue with his shirt printer...and asked if I thought I could get some done for him. This same thing happened last year, got a call from Carl asking about shirts. But I never heard anything either time, so I figured he'd worked it out. I'd of just liked him to stand up there and give us an explaination why things were going like they were and it would have been fine. I'm pretty easy going, but he never did that, at least not that I heard...and that's not cool.

On a high note, it was nice to witness the "Patty fucked up again" show. You certainly were a bright spot in an otherwise frustrating weekend. Thanks :-)

Gotta love Patty on tourney weekends!!! <:-P

Actually, I don't plan on being that messed up again at a tourney. I am just trying to get every thing i can out of traveling to tourney's while I can, because soon, I will not be making many. In November, the most precious gift my wife can give me will be born...and after that, I will no longer be able or willing to be away that much. Sorry if I pissed anyone off, or said something that was not right, I was just enjoying the moment with my friends.

I would have been much more disappointed with that tournament if I had not been with such a fun group of people. It really made all the bs bearable. My cheeks hurt today from all the laughing I did this weekend.

I think you and Misti did a great job Jerry. If you two had not have been there helping, that tourney would have been much more of a nightmare than it already was. I saw a number of people working harder than the td.

I really enjoyed the courses, and if it were closer I might actually go next year. But to travel as far as we did just to play a cool course, I probably won't be making this one again.

I think I travel to more tourneys now than I did before Zoey was born. All I heard while Jeanne was PG, was "oh your life is going to change", "get ready to do nothing for the next 18 years", ect. My life may have changed, but I still get to go on tourney trips and ski trips, and everything else I did before. Sure you have to make some adjustments with things, and plan a little farther ahead on things, but you can still do all the things you did before you had a kid. Kids don't change your life, you choose to change your life. I mean look, we took Zoey to Colorado for a ski trip at 1 month old!!!! That's 14 hours in the car, kids can travel, and trust me. Plus Zoey will be going to Worlds with me in July. Oh, btw-you just went on a trip with 3 dads with 2 year olds or younger. That should show you, you choose what you want out of it. It is the greatest thing ever, but you still have to live a little!!!!!

Well you didnt piss me off any. It was all very entertaining and I'm glad you had a good time :-) And congrats!! Didnt know about the bun in the oven...thats awesome!

I'm glad you guys got up to see Amarillo disc golf. Unfortunatly you picked what turned out to be a poor event, but I'm glad you liked the courses. That is not the standard for Amarillo events (or at least hasnt been) and I hope it gets turned around.

Did you guys notice that McCabe and Liz Lopez played in St. Louis this weekend? Or that some of the other Pro guys played in SA and in Tyler? I wonder if he ever even talked to any of those guys before he put them on the players list.....:-??

I went and looked at some of the other big events of the weekend just to see if they had played else where or just "didn't show up" like waas said. So yes, I did notice that, and wondered the same thing. Kind of shady....

Anyway, yes I did enjoy the courses...and would recommend anyone that likes playing different areas to play these courses(guess the only way to do the lake course is play discrazy?).

I wanted to publically come on and echo some of the same things Mike said on the Discrazy threads on the PDGA boards. I should have waited at least a week to cool off before posting anything and I didnt, so I said things that I cant take back. Im sorry I publically questioned Matt's character with some of the things I said and I really hope the Discrazy Shootout can get turned around next year.

Jerry, you didn't say anything that everyone wasn't already saying. Matt is a good person, and I know it takes a lot to TD a big tourney; hopefully this will wake him up and get his mind in the right place for next year.

Since we only have one more ratings update for 2009, I decided to see if I could help get the ratings official for this event. I talked to Carolyn with the PDGA and I told here I could provide all the information, except for some of the financials, if it would help get the ratings official. Basically, they will not make the results offical until the completed TD report is turned in. She has not been able to get a hold of Matt after repeated attempts. They will use the unofficial results as the official results (which I told her were valid since Misti and I kept score) if they have no other choice, but I dont know how long they will wait to do that.

So, I wouldn't expect this to be included on your ratings calculation anytime soon. :/
