That's why you are voting for McCain. I am assuming you voted for Bush, and what made you think he was qualified. He did a horrible job and McCain said so himself. If your voting for McCain then your voting for a guy that will stab his own President, who he has stood by for 8 years, right in the back. Seem like Palins wardrobe is the main concern for McCain right now. Just think if he becomes the president, God help us, the tax payers will have to pay for all her clothes and hair to be done, not something I am willing to pay for. Besides Palin doesn't even know what the VP does, she thinks she is going to be in charge of the senate. If you put the brains of those two together you couldn't even compare it to a chimps brain. The only thing McCain keeps saying is that Obama is going to raise your taxes, that's BS. Unless you make more than 600,000 a year, it's not going to change. Now, I might be wrong, but I don't know of any DGers that make that kind of cash. McCains own party is now running adds saying that it looks as if he is going to lose and republicans that are running for the house are telling people that to help them get votes so the democrates don't run the house and the presidency. McCain already lost and because he was a POW doesn't qualify he to be president, just means he is off in the head. Also, Obama doesn't have to be qualified to run our military, the Generals of the military and his advisors that are qualified will. All they have to do is lead them out of a war that we shouldn't be in anyways. How hard is it to say come home? Why are we still over there anyways? Is it to run up our national debt even more? At some point you have to take accountability for the dumbass we elected into office and fix the problems here in our own country. Meanwhile Iraq is sitting with a surplus bigger than the US could ever imagine, but let's just keep pumping money into a wasted effort. There was a great article in the Fort Worth paper about how the writer went to Abilene to see what it was like in a city that voted to reelect Bush by over 75% of its people and how these people could be so blind to reelect a complete failure. Look what Bush has done and expect more of the same from McCain. Just for starters!!!
I did vote for Bush...and I am not ashamed to say it. I actual like Bush, has he done all the right things? NO! But what president has? NONE of them. They are all liars, and don't know anything about the way "normal" people live.
So my vote is for him not being qualified to run our military...and your's is because you don't want to pay a hair dresser?
If you really believe that the only taxes that are going to be raised is those that make over a $600,000 a year you are blind. With all the extra spending Obama is going throw money at, just raising those taxes are going to cut it.
As for McCain being off in the head, at least he wasn't raised in a country that hates us, and isn't a muslim with a bunch of muslim friends that hate is. GOD HELP US IF OBAMA GETS ELECTED.
Have you heard how ammo taxes are going to go up for our guns to protect us from the guys that don't follow gun laws int he first place? 600% is what I heard....NO THANKS!
Oh and for the record, I am voting McCain and think Pole counts as METAL!
Or let's talk inheritance tax. Something Obama is going to try and reinstal that Bush took out. Again no thanks.....My family owns a farm out inbetween Miles and Veribest. If my granddad happened to die while Obama was in office. We might not be able to keep my home, because of the tax on property that my family already owns. That is just rediculous.
Funny stuff coming in off the PDGA website.LOL. I guess my theory was wrong.
You should really check your facts because Obama is not Muslim nor is the US a muslim country. McCain is the one that is going to raise your taxes, just like his predicessor(sp?) did and said he wouldn't. McCain is a weasel and a liar. Did you watch the debate? HE had nothing to debate with, no plan of attack other than what Joe the plumber said. Who cares about Joe the plumber when you are supposed to be getting your plan out to the people. He has no plan and is going to follow right in the same path as Bush. Has anyone watched any of the SNL. It's so funny and dead on. McCain and Palin are nothing but a joke, just people to laugh and make fun of. Jason if you are wooried about all of your ammo expensises than learn to reload your bullets and then you dont have to worry about that. Look for a Fact Checker and get your facts right, it might change your vote and open your eyes. Look at the qualifications to become president and tell me where it says anything about running the military.

Wrong. Bush put that in place, along with the patriot act, which says that the government can take that land from you anytime they want. So, since you voted for Bush, that land is not even yours. Do some reserch on the patriot act and tell me Bush did a good job on that one. Obama is going to do away with that one as soon as he gets elected. He will be our next President.
I wrote in Jim Henson. He has a good stand on muppets in the military, fraggle relations, and his economic plan is pretty solid. He is dead of course, but he couldn't do worse than most politicians. Henson 2008!!
I kind of liked to see Willie in there. He would make a great president. Look what he did for country music and you need a good rebel in office every once and a while.
I'm writing in Peter Griffin, he likes to drink...I like to drink...it seems a perfect fit.....and there was that one time he drove(kidnapped) the pope around and he did a semi-good job there.......Peter Griffin in '08 yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
I guess I am going to have to add a few more options to the poll. Wouldn't be nice if anyone could be nominated for the president, instead of us voting for the two nominees that were selected for us.
You have summed up everyone's dilema. We have to choose between Obama Bin Ladin or some Old P.O.W. Neither are good choices for me. Shame on you Burner420 for bringing politics on this discussion board. This is a place where we can talk shit, keep us informed, and have fun; not a place where presidents are elected. If you want to talk about politics, go to Star Bucks and order a latte!
Well, it shouldn't matter to you, felons are not allowed to vote anyways.LOL And there is no vote for same sex marriages, so you wouldn't have any real reason to vote anyways. Don't you have some poles to set?
From Audacity of Hope:'I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.'
From Dreams of My Father:'I never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didn't speak to my own. It was into my father's image, the black man, son of Africa, that I'd packed all the attributes I sought in myself, the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, DuBois and Mandela
Well out of context!!! How about some from McCain like how he stood behind and voted with GW 90% of the time. So, that would be more of the same 90% of the time only the other 10% is probally worse than GW, which would make GW the second worse president to McCain. NO THANKS!!!
What if there were a reversal of roles and qualifications? What If?
What if McCain were former President of Harvard Law Review? What if Obama graduated fifth from last in his graduating class?
What if McCain were still married to the 1st woman he said "I do" to? What if Obama left his wife after she lost her looks and no longer measured up to his standards?
What if Michelle Obama were the wife that not only became addicted to painkillers, but obtained them illegally through her charitable organization? What if Cindy McCain was the wife that graduated from Harvard?
What if Obama was a former member of the Keating-5? What if McCain were a charismatic, eloquent speaker?
.
What if you were the boss, who would you hire to run our country with America facing historic debt, 2 wars, stumbling health care, a weakened dollar, all time high prison population, mortgage crises, bank foreclosures, etc.?
OBAMA: Columbia University: B.A. Political Science, specializing in International Relations Harvard: Juris Doctor (Magna Cum Laude)
BIDEN: University of Delaware: B.A. in History, B.A. in Political Science Syracuse University College of Law: Juris Doctor
MCCAIN: United States Naval Academy: Class rank 894 of 899
PALIN: Hawaii Pacific: 1 semester North Idaho College: 2 semesters (general studies) University of Idaho: 2 semesters (journalism) Matanuska Susitna College: 1 semester University of Idaho: 3 semesters B.A. in Journalism
First off, I think that Obama will win. I don't like him completly, well much at all, but it's going to happen, most likely. Second, If your going to support someone, you need to come up with some ideas of your own. I'm sorry Burner, but it sounds like you just keep saying what is allready being said all over the news. The cloths issue, run the Senate comment, 90% of the time, ect... The truth is, that they are all politicians and none of them can be trusted. Obama and McCain have both lied and done God knows what to become Senators. Obama will raise taxes, Palin will always be dumb, McCain will always be old as will Biden. Untill we all stand up and do something about it we will never get anything done in this country. I'm not voteing this year, and will not vote again untill for starters, someone openly supports legalizing weed, and FOR THESE REASONS. It is time to move on with the abortion issue. I don't agree with it, but come on, it is the womans decision. Democrats, don't even try and take our guns away... CIVIL WAR! Screw taxes, that could all be done away with, if pot were legal and sold exclusivly by the government. Oil, screw that debate also. Why can't we just do both, drill for more and at the same time get away from using it all together with alternative solutions. Why does it have to be one or the other. Wellfare, It is being abused all over, in every city, and it just gets worse. It needs to be downsized and policed. Universal Health Care? NO, NO, & NO! Civil Liberties, don't even get me started. The point is, I'm tired of haveing people on tv tell me how to vote and that we must vote even if we don't completely support the person. NO. Not me. When a person comes along again with the views above, then I will vote for him or her. I voted for Bush both times. He did fair job, in really hard times. I would not vote for him again, but I'm proud to say I did twice. Good luck to the next looser that gets elected, maybe he will do something he says he's going to do.
Well said Bryan....well said! But I will vote still, even though I am not fully behind either of the 2...one is still waaaaay better than the other in my mind, at least for my beliefs and my way of life.
and for the record, I think Obama will win unfortunately :( but I can always hope!!!
btw- nice to have you back on the board Bryan...you coming this way anytime soon? Say maybe for the ash mini??? We could revist old times when you were my partner at the 1st State park ash mini.....but no taking your bag off if we do it! ;) You gotta at least come up for the Ice Bowl in Jan.
Bryan, if you think Bush has done a good job you must be in a different world. I think all the problems are because of him. Lord help us open these peoples eye. IMPEACH BUSH!!!
No, I clearly said a fair job in really hard times. He has done good. He had to lead us through one of our darkest hours, 9-11, that was not easy. And yes he has gotten us into some trouble, the war has become a disaster. I would like to see it end soon, I have good friends over there. I can't blame the financial problems on him. I'm sorry, but we the people of this country have to blame that one on ourselves. As a country we are in so much debt, because we all want everything and we keep using the cards, and getting loans that we can not afford, and more and more and more... And the government, both sides have been spending like crazy, and it won't stop whoever gets elected. The point is we are the genreation of change, it needs to start with us. Stop fighting between Rep. & Dem. and find a better party. It will take many years, but now is the time to start. Anyways. If I was going to vote, put a gun to my head, I would vote Obama, Mainly because of his youth and he seems to be telling the truth, only time will tell......................................................... So, I might be down the 2nd weekend in Nov. but if not, then for 4 days around Thanksgiving. Will there be any DG on Thanksgiving weekend? I'm playing on Mike's Texas's Teams team in Nov. As long as that is still happening. I don't mean to sound like it's not going to, but I'm so far away, and it is easy to do that. If I don't play, I told JC that I would caddy for him. So I will see you guy then for sure. When is the Ash mini?
And the way it looks now, you will be playing at Texas Teams. Mikey just got you guys signed up yesterday.(rosters are listed on the PDGA DISCussion board under texas teams 2008)
Let me remind you, Bryan, we had a surplus before Bush got into office. Of course, Clinton was one of our best presidents and had the ecomony going strong. It's amazing what 8 years of a bad president can do. Also, all the spending and other bills have to go thru one final guy in ordder to get approved and that was the biggest failure of a president GW. Also, it's just my opinion and there is no proof, but I think 9/11 was done by our own in order to take our freedoms away. They see it as a small sacrafice to help them control the world. World order has been the main goal for the skull and crossbones secret organization. Bush has ties into it going back to old england. Another reason I think it doesnt matter who gets elected, it's all controlled behind the curtains. If you are into reading check out a book by David Ike called The Biggest Conspiracy(sp?)
Let me remind you, Bryan, we had a surplus before Bush got into office. Of course, Clinton was one of our best presidents and had the ecomony going strong.
Yeah all the cuts he did with our Military might of helped out the economy, but it sure didn't help the armor plating...or lack there of Bush gets blamed for in all the HumVs. Or the lack of funding to pay for bullut proof vests for our Sons and Daughters. (yeah that was clinton's doing....boooooooo that guy!!! He was one of the biggest liers of them all....I did not inhale??? WHAT THE FUCK EVER...I DID NOT HAVE SEXUAL RELATIONS WITH THAT LADY....BULL FUCKING SHIT!!!! Best president ever my ass)
BURNER420 wrote ... Also, it's just my opinion and there is no proof, but I think 9/11 was done by our own in order to take our freedoms away.
:-O
Please tell me you are joking here...there is no way "our own" did or had anything to do with 9/11. That is just rediculous ~X(
