Had a good time out yesterday, wish I could have shot a little better, but hey that's the way it goes some days. Good to see Gary Wells out yesterday, sucks you had to play Cali on your first mini back. Pretty close match for the top 3 spots, came down to Patty throwing a heck of a drive on 2 to set up Cody for the bird, he knocked it down and sealed the win.
Well yesterday was the first time I've played the lake in probably 6 months or so, but it was good to get out there even in the wind and give it a try. Bet I picked up about 15 smashed beer cans(and other trash) along the way....can't understand how people can feel right about just throwing down a can, smashing it and walking off from it. Hell, I can't even walk past someone else trash out there and feel right about it.
Would really help to keep that course a lot cleaner if everyone would pick up a can here and there along their way, instead of just walking past it. (I know it's not your trash...but it is your course!)
(I also know it would really be nice if the person that plays with the guy smashing all the keystone cans would tell him to pickup his shit!!!) ;)
Anyway, had a good time yesterday, Brandn and myself took 2nd place with I think -2, think -6 was the winning score with Wendy(from Big Spring) throwing blues, with Micah. Wish I could have thrown from the blues??? Carl and his partner were 3rd with -1.
Not sure the rest of the scores or pairs, but there were 14 players. Pretty big turnout for a sunday round...the Crush must be getting close!
Need to know if any minis made this weekend and if so I also need to get the money because I have to figure our first quarter info before our board meeting on Thursday. Thanks
Don't know about Saturday, but Sunday there was a mini. There were 6 teams and we paid out top 2. Nick and Micah got paired up and shot -9. Matt and I won second with -4. Carl has the ace money and Tammie has the club money.
Wow.. took awhile to find this thread. I had a good time yesterday. Didn't lose any discs (unlike some) and nice weather. Probably would have done a little better if Jason or I could have putted. Got to see Brodie and Jonathon drain a few though! It was a blast! I can't wait to get out and play again.

Great time at the lake...seems like I always skip these minis for S.C. or something else, but when I go I have a great time! Only 6 of us, but yeah....got to see some great runs(Adam on 15 from the gunch!!) and both Brodie and Jonathan B. hit some long ones! Ended up losing by 2 to them in the end!
and yeah...saw lots of disc get wet, so I'll take 2nd place and no lost discs any time!
Well after reading a few of the last posts...I guess yesterday was JC and my annual mini at the lake. Not quite a year...but pretty close, and probably the first round I've played out there since the Doubles from what I remember. Only 3 of us out for skins yesterday...but it was a good time for sure with some nice weather and good company...not to mention I took 13 of the 20 skins! JC took the other 7, and Cookie was there! (hehe...)
Well it has been FOREVER since I have made a Sunday mini, but I finally made one yesterday. Actually made all 3 minis this week(been forever since that has happened as well!). Was nice to get out and play the lake mini again....
