Well I was just looking at the round rating for COTO....looks like my 919 rating is coming down, Rec. here I come...hehe...Unless I tear it up in Abilene next month that is. which I plan to do ;)
Well if you want one bad enough, get a PDGA #er and go to the Wild Hair next month in Abilene(or Kyle, or Rockwall, or ect.). All it takes is one tourney to get a rating. Although that's not a very good measure, going to need several to really get a rating. I've only got 1 sanctioned event on my rating(the Crush). Not sure when the next update is, but I think they update them every quarter maybe? By then I should have at least 3 if not 4(4 if I make either the Light House in Levelland, or Manor...hoping for Manor)
man, pease park can do a number on the ratings. I only shot one round with a higher number than my rating. that sucks, I can't wait until the wild hair. it sure makes a differance in the degree of diffeculty of the course.
on the home page....its at the top inside the grey "updates" box. They also usually post the last submission deadline for TD reports to be included in that rating update...so you can kind of tell which of the most recent events will get official ratings for that update.
Ratings update is up. I went from a 919 to a 905, and after this weekend my next updated rating I'm sure I will be below 900....can you say INT here I come??? hehe... At least I am still rated higher than Patty!!!! :P
Nick's rating is sure moving up...before long we'll have a true rated pro in San Angelo.
I went from 930 to 896. Peace Park killed my rating...especially the 10 on 13. I hope to go up after Abilene. Nick had a 1000 rated round, thats awesome!!!
Ratings are overrated anyways. They dont include how drunk you got the night before and how bad you got your ass kicked at a UFC fight not to metion the jet lag.
Latest rating update has happened this week. Was sure hoping to be over 900 after the Odessa tourney....but ends up I only shot 1 round over 900 at the tournet anyway, so while it did move it up....not over 900
I'm a 886.
Thinking of trying to find someone to go to Waco next weekend to play a C teir anyone interested....it's just a one day tourney. I am going to email the guy and try to get some info.
the Crush and Discrazy are listed as Unofficial still, so niether report made it in before the deadline. I dont know if thats because they havent been sent in yet (or have but after the deadline), or they have been sent in and there is a problem.
Where are you finding this info Jerry, is there a link you can provide us from the pdga site? I didn't figure Discrazy would make it that quick, but the Crush should be there by now.
When you bring up the tournament results, right under the tournament name it tells you the status of the results (unofficial, or official). Actually, if you just hover over the trohpy on the Tour schedule page, it will tell you.
The deadline for reports to be included in the next ratings update is usually 2 weeks before the update (May 5 in this case). So, the TD report for the Crush was either not received by May 5 or it was and the PDGA had questions about the report and held it out of this ratings update. If Cody was sure it was sent in before the deadline, he might call the PDGA office to see why it was held out.
I do know the Crush TD report was late, but I thought Cody was able to get it sent in before the 5th. I'd guess they have a problem with something and they'll be in touch with him soon.
I wish those two tournaments would have been included though - now I'm worried about my rating falling! 880 with two 790ish rounds unreported!
Im sorry I have'nt replied about the TD report, But yes I thuoght I sent it in but I was wrong. Karolyn @ the PDGA contacted me and I sent the TD report to her 2-3 weeks ago, and she replied that she got it. I will contact thim to see what is taking so long.
I expected to go up....but more than 2 points. After looking, I realized that Discrazy results arent in...so thats why.
Was sure hoping to cross the 950 barrier (a personal goal I set about 5 years ago) but maybe the next update. Whats funny is back then..I figured if I could get to where I could average 950 golf, I could compete with most anyone...especially in this region...and be content with my game. Now I look at that number and think "I'm almost there...and I SUCK!" Theres so much more improvment that I think I can achieve. Once I get there, I think my next goal will be 970...get that true Pro status. Hell if I could just practice putting 15 min everyday...that would probably make me 2 strokes better at least...theres 970. Then thereS work on drives, short game.... Who knows, maybe the big 1-0-0-0 is reachable?
