Its gonna be bad when Ulibarri gets bet by an old, outta shape, fungus eatin drunk whose rating has never been above 950, but Micah I think you can do it!!! HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA
P.S. Which part was I laughing at....Micah being a fungus eatin drunk or him actually having a chance to beat Paul...........HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for posting this Brandon! I know Jeanne will appreciate it....I wish there would be another 50+ people that would take the time to thank her and the rest of the staff(but unfortunately I know there won't be). As there is a TON of work that goes into this weekend starting all the way back in November with planning, several meetings, countless emails and phone calls from players and to sponsors, as well as to other staffers making sure everythig is getting done and done right. The Crush is a hard tourney to pull off and can really wear on you while you are getting a lot of complaining form all levels of players that for the most part just didn't do their part and read the player book.
So to Jeanne I thank you so much for all you have done for the CVDGA, the Crush and all the other toureys you have helped pull together over the years. You are very much the glue that hold this club together and are going to be GREATLY MISSED, more than most people are going to realize until it's to late, once you do step down.
So if you do appreciate Jeanne be sure to thank her here, through email or even with a phone call...Because SHE IS AWESOME!!!
Also want to say a big THANK YOU to Cookie and Sara for volunteering to run S.C. this weekend, that is another very thankless job and one that is not just a ton of fun, but is nessessary to make the Crush all it can be.
Another thanks needs to go out to Micah and Patty for taking care of getting the baksets picked up, put out, picked up, put out all weekend long. Yet another thing that people probably dont understand how much of a pain that job is to do while most everyone is either on their way home, sitting down somewhere eating, or what have you.
I'd like to thank Francis and Debbie who provided Jeanne with a ton help between rounds through the tourney checking scores, saling discs, and helping setup and deal with people.
Lastly I'd like to thank all the players both local and out-of-towners that continue to support the Crush on the Concho and make it the tourney it is. It's always great to be out there on Friday and start seeing old friends and probably a few soon to be new friends pulling in to the course to get setup for the party that is about to happen!
Can't wait to see what next year's 12th Annual Crush on the Concho
(btw - we are going to need a TD for next year's event...it's never to soon to start thinking about "is it my turn to help")
I concur with Jason all the way around. Though we took South Concho for the weekend and it was my first time ever to help TD, I was unaware of what it took to pull off this past weekend of awesomeness. I enjoyed every minute of this weekend despite the set backs and upsets. That's just the nature of the beast when dealing with 100+ people. I very much enjoy playing disc golf but will say I very much enjoyed learning the ropes and business end of tournaments and am considering doing it again next year. Being able to help out where needed, when needed and just being a part of it was very enjoyable. May Crush number 12 be as good or better than this year. Thank YOU Jeanne for letting me help out and teaching me the ropes to what extent you had time to do. You are a great TD and I hope people can realize it takes a village with a great leader to run such an amazing and fun event. One last thank you...THANK YOU STEVO! The night glow was...
THIS WEEKEND WAS AWESOME!!!! Thanks Jeanne! You Rock!! You pulled off another amazing tournament. I cant wait til next year whether it be to play one again or helping with the tournament itself. Thanks to all the players, local and from afar, for making this my favorite tournament. I enjoy playing some fun rounds with old friends and making new friends every year. I also want to thank Cookie, Sarah, Donavan,Debbie, Francis, Sean, Micah, and Stevo with all their help, making Crush #11 a huge success! Ca't wait til next year.
I agree with you all!!! Thank you so very much Jeanne, you truely did a superb job and made the Crush awesome! And to all that helped before and after the tourney, can't say thanks enough! Niteglow was WEIRD! Thanks to all that made the Crush my favorite tourney!
Well another Crush come and gone. I only had to get two shots in my butt and spend two days in bed after it was all said and done! I could never in a million years thank everyone that helped me enough. I never dreamed of how side tracked a TD can get when the cards start coming in with so many questions/complaints. I would still be there checking scores if it wasn't for Debbie and Francis. Then not to mention Cookie and Sara at South Concho, with everything going on at the lake I couldn't even imagine having to think about what is going on over there. Thanks to Jason, Sean, Donavan, Cookie, Coby, Gary and Micah for getting the courses ready to go and for me not having to worry about those as well. I really don't think anyone that plays and has never helped run a tourney really knows the amount of work and preparation that goes into something of this magnitude and it really helps having a good group of people working with you that you know you can deligate a task to and not have to worry about it getting done. I think we did a great job and pulled off a great event and I think our numbers seem to prove that time and time again!
