If you have never experienced TEAM disc golf….this is a must make tourney! You won’t be disappointed!!!
For 5 years starting in 1997, Abilene's most notible tournament was the Mr. Big Putt's. A one day event held in the fall, this tournament attracted many of Texas' finest disc golfers.
In 2004, Alan Rogers brought back tournament disc golf to Abilene. He wanted to have a 2 day disc golf tournament to celebrate his birthday (June 26). So he got a "wild hair". He organized and ran the tournament. There were 54 players the first year. The next year, the locals made him do it again. The third year, they made him do it again... but this time he had some help. It was sanctioned in 2006 and has been ever since.
Now, the 7th annual Wild Hair is here!!! This is the first Wild Hair to fall on Alan's birthday since the beginning. Click on the links below for all the info. Also, if you need a place to stay please stay at our host hotel!!
