 9/25/2012  Tuesday is once again upon us…which means it’s weekly update time of the week. This week we have a Wednesday mini only scheduled. The 9th Annual West Texas Doubles is this weekend. Big Spring’s Oneday Funday is next Sunday. Abilene has just released their info on this year’s Mayors Cup. Then the Brownfield tourneys is slowing creeping up on us in late October. Also Ace Race registration is open through Patty, and will end at the middle of October so don’t miss out on that.
MINIS
Only one mini scheduled for this week and that is set for the last Handicapped singles round of the year at Picnic Bend. Teetime is 6pm…We’ll try to keep the cards to 3 this week! (depending on the turnout) I’d still bring some lights as there is no way we’ll finish before dark.
Speaking of dark….it’s almost time for the Mini schedule to change to the winter version. So with that said, we are looking to see if everyone would like to switch up the night glow rounds to include North Concho. 9th Annual West Texas Doubles
Doubles week is here…hopefully you have signed up by now, but if you haven’t registration is still open until Friday. If you wait till Friday afternoon you will incur a $10 per person late signup fee. So don’t wait till the last second!!!! If you need to or want to you can register with me at the mini Wednesday.(just don’t wait till we are doing cards to find me please)
For those that have signed up here is the info you need at this point:
Saturday tourney HQ will be at the lake, probably about the same place it was for the Crush.
Player check in will start at 8 and run to 8:30am.
Players meeting will follow at 8:45am
Teeoff will be at 9:15am.
Sunday’s tourney HQ will be at Picnic Bend Park
Players meeting is at 9am.

2012 ACE RACE
Ace Race registration is now open!!! You can sign up with Patty at any Mini he is at, or bring in your form already filled out to Cortese Flag.(I WILL NOT HAVE REGISTRATION FORMS PRINTED OUT)
Date is set for November 3rd
(yes we know they want it done in October, but this was a better open weekend)
This is a pre-registration only event; you must be signed up by Oct. 12th
Location will be at Bright Brewing in Eola, Texas! It will be a different course than we use at the Ice Bowl.
Cost: $25 which is well under the value of the merch. you get for the money!!!
Big Spring – One-day Fun-day Sunday
The 20th ever Discover Big Spring DG tourney is set for October 7th.
Location is Birdwell Park
Registration 8-9:30am
Limited to first 90 players
2 rounds of 18 holes
There is also random draw doubles the Saturday before at Comanche Trail Park lake course ($10 per person)
