 7-24-2012  Tuesday once again…which means weekly update once again. We have a full mini schedule for the week. In tourney action, the Fly Ink Sizzler is this weekend. Next week is the first ever CVDGA Member’s Only tournament that is being put on to show some thanks to all those that support the CVDGA and got our membership up to over 60 this year. Other than that there is really not a lot going on in the area.
Big congrats to MooseKnuckle on his 64th place finish at Am Worlds last week finishing the week at -5. Also good job to Jonathan Gomez who finished 223 at 29 up for the week. Great job guys! Other area players you might know that I noticed on the list include Dillon who finished 3rd in under 19, Kyle Kjellberg who finished 13th in under 16, and Lisa Gallagher who finished 7th in Adv. Womens. Sorry if I missed any others from the area.
MINIS
Wednesday’s mini will be at Picnic Bend for some handicapped singles…teetime is 6pm.
Saturday will be random doubles at North Concho with a teetime of 10am.
Sunday is scheduled for handicapped singles at the lake at 2pm.
Junction’s Fly Ink Sizzler
The Fly Ink is this weekend, but at this point if you are not already signed up or on the waiting list you probably aren’t going to get in.

CVDGA Member’s Only Tourney
Just FYI on this….there is a lot of construction going on at this park, and depending on what things look like later in the week we may have to move the location of the event. I’ll let you now for sure in next week’s update.
The CVDGA Board members are wanting to put on a THANK YOU FOR THE SUPPORT member’s only tourney in August. This was the 1st year the club has reached the 50 player mark, and ended up blowing that away reaching 60+. This means disc golf is growing greatly in San Angelo, and we want to give a little appreciation back. This event will be free to play in, but you must be a current, dues paid, form filled out member before the event. There will be no member signups the day of….
There will be some CTP prizes and raffle prizes. The actual payout will be a free entry into the 2012 CVDGA Ace Race, a free 2013 CVDGA membership, and just for good measure…and life time Patty Fan club membership! 2nd place will receive a 2013 CVDGE Membership as well.
Location will be at the Sunken Garden on August 4th
Check in will be at 8am
Players meeting 8:30am
Teetime 8:55am or so….
